1. Eligibility: The Automotive Retailers Association’s virtual car show is open to legal residents of Canada, the United States and other countries, and is void where prohibited by law. Employees and board members of the Automotive Retailers Association, board members of the Automotive Retailers Foundation Inc. and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of employees or board members are not eligible to participate in the Contest. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal and provincial laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Contestants may enter the contest via the entry form on this website or through the events@ara.bc.ca email. Contestants must be the legal owner of the vehicle as of the date of entry.
2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Automotive Retailers Association judges as final and binding as it relates to the content of this Contest.
3. Contest Period: Entries will be accepted online starting on June 17, 2021, and ending August 31, 2021 at 10 pm Pacific Standard time. All online entries must be received by August 31, 2021 at 5 pm Pacific Standard time.
4. How to Enter: The entry must fulfill all Contest requirements, as specified, to be eligible to win. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion the Automotive Retailers Association and appointed judges. You may enter only once per vehicle. (You cannot enter one vehicle into multiple categories.) You must provide the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules, your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of the Automotive Retailers Association and appointed judges.
5. Prizes: The Winner(s) in each category of the Contest will receive a trophy. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted, the prize is non-transferable. Any prize-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, and/or local taxes, shall be the sole responsibility of the Winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of prizes to others or request for the cash equivalent by the Winner is permitted. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Automotive Retailers Association to use the Winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law
6. Winner Selection and Notification: The Winner will be selected in each category by a panelist vote under the supervision of the Automotive Retailers Association. The Winner for People’s Choice Award will be determined by the highest number of votes. You can vote only once. The Automotive Retailers Association shall have no liability for the Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings or for the Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the Winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, fails to claim the prize within 30 days from the time award notification was sent, or fails to timely return a completed and executed declaration and release as required, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY THE WINNER WILL RESULT IN THE WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS THE WINNER OF THE CONTEST, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS THE WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
7. Rights Granted by You: By entering this content (e.g., photo, video, text, etc.), you understand and agree that the Automotive Retailers Association and anyone acting on behalf of them, licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the Contest, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Contest, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes. without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
8. Terms & Conditions: The Automotive Retailers Association reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond www.ara.bc.ca control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Contest. In such case, www.ara.bc.ca may select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate). The Automotive Retailers Association reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or website or violates these rules. The Automotive Retailers Association has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Contest, to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to, multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses and multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed.
9. Limitation of Liability: By entering, You agree to release the Automotive Retailers Association and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from:
- such entrant’s participation in the Contest and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof;
- technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment;
- the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service;
- unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process;
- electronic or human error in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries.
10. Social Media: The Contest is hosted by the Automotive Retailers Association and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any of the social media platforms. Your information may be shared all over the Automotive Retailers Association social media as far as your entry and info.
By entering the Contest, You, the Contestant, have affirmatively reviewed, accepted, and agreed to all of the Official Rules.

- Public voting begins September 7, 2021
- Public voting ends September 29 at 10 p.m.
- Winners will be announced on Thursday October 7, 2021

Vehicles will be sorted into the following Categories: Antiques/Vintage, Best of Rods, Customs: Classic and Muscle Cars, Trucks, and Motorcycles.
Online vehicle listing will only include submitted photos of the vehicle, make, model and year along with your first name, your city and description of the vehicle. If you have questions please contact events@ara.bc.ca. The Automotive Retailers Association will not share personal information. By entering, you grant the Automotive Retailers Association permission to use your submitted photos for the promotional and marketing use of the Automotive Retailers Association Show and Shine events.
