Correlieu Secondary School, Quesnel

"Jenny” – A Tribute to Grit, Ingenuity, and School Spirit
Meet Jenny — a handcrafted pedal-powered tow truck built by Correlieu Secondary School students for the Pedal Car Challenge, where creativity meets craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from the ingenuity of the Great Depression, Jenny reimagines a time when luxury cars like Packards and Duesenbergs, left idle by economic hardship, were repurposed into working tow trucks to make ends meet.
The students captured this era of resilience with thoughtful design and detail. The long, elegant body lines and oversized frame echo the grandeur of vintage luxury vehicles, while the custom tow rig at the rear symbolizes hard work and adaptation. The red and white paint scheme, paired with bold blue accents, proudly features the school’s colours — a nod to the students’ roots and sense of pride.
Adorned with a striking coyote decal, Jenny carries the school mascot forward with confidence and character. From the polished chrome-style details to the functioning winch and realistic steering, every aspect of Jenny tells a story — not only of historical influence, but of teamwork, technical skill, and youthful imagination.
Jenny is more than just a pedal car — she’s a rolling celebration of automotive history, student innovation, and the spirit of a community that supports hands-on learning and future careers in the mechanical and collision repair sub-sectors of the automotive industry.
Earl Marriot Secondary School, Surrey

“The Wastelander” – A Mad Max-Inspired Pedal Car Built for Chaos
Crafted by a group of fearless Earl Marriot Secondary School students, The Wastelander is a rugged, post-apocalyptic pedal car inspired by the gritty world of Mad Max. This pedal-powered beast captures the spirit of survival, rebellion, and raw creativity — forged in a fictional wasteland but built with real-world skill.
Channelling the chaotic energy of the Mad Max universe, the car features menacing skull details, exposed engine elements, and a weathered, battle-worn paint finish. Jagged metal accents and salvaged-looking parts give it an aggressive stance, while functional design elements remind you it’s not just for show — it’s built to roll.
Designed and built entirely by students, The Wastelander is a statement of bold imagination and mechanical ingenuity. The team embraced fabrication, styling, and storytelling to create a vehicle that feels ripped straight from the Fury Road — but with pedals.
This project not only challenged students to think outside the box, it brought cinematic creativity into the shop class, sparking interest in automotive careers and hands-on trades through a shared love of pop culture and engineering.
The Wastelander proves that with the right tools, some scrap metal, and a lot of passion, even high school students can build something worthy of the apocalypse.
Vanguard Secondary School, Langley

“Vanguard Dragster” – Where School Spirit Meets Full-Throttle Design
Introducing the Vanguard Dragster — a bold, pedal-powered tribute to the high-adrenaline world of drag racing, built by Vanguard Secondary School students for the Pedal Car Challenge. Inspired by the fierce persona of classic dragsters, this custom build fuses speed, style, and school pride into one unforgettable machine.
Draped in vibrant blue and gold, the Vanguard Dragster proudly represents the school’s colours while commanding attention with its sleek lines, stretched frame, and aggressive racing stance. Every detail — from the low profile to the polished accents — was crafted to reflect both the technical skill and creative vision of the student team.
More than just a showpiece, the Vanguard Dragster embodies precision, performance, and passion. It’s a rolling showcase of the hands-on learning and problem-solving that make the trades exciting — and a clear signal that the next generation of automotive talent is ready to hit the gas.
Built to turn heads and leave a mark, the Vanguard Dragster doesn’t just look fast — it feels fast.
R.E Mountain Secondary School, Langley

“The Arlyn” – Built to Rise
Meet The Arlyn, a bold and lifted pedal car built in honour of the teacher who inspired it. Named after their mentor, this project is more than just a vehicle — it’s a tribute to resilience, guidance, and the impact one person can have on a team of young builders.
From day one, Arlyn — the teacher — was a steady force, encouraging the students to think bigger, push harder, and believe in their ability to create something exceptional. Channelling that spirit, the R.E Mountain Secondary School students took a standard pedal car and elevated it — literally. With oversized tires, a raised suspension, and a reinforced frame, Arlyn stands tall as a symbol of strength and determination.
The rugged stance and clean lines are paired with a striking blue and silver paint job, blending off-road attitude with polished execution. Every part of the build reflects the hands-on learning, teamwork, and mentorship that brought it to life.
Arlyn is more than a machine — it’s a thank you. A nod to the teacher who led by example, challenged them to take pride in their work, and reminded them that real growth often happens when you lift each other up.
Pleasant Valley Secondary School, Armstrong

“The Batmobile” – Classic Heroism on Four Pedals
Holy craftsmanship, Batman! This stunning Batmobile pedal car is a Pleasant Valley Secondary School student-built tribute to the iconic ride of the Caped Crusader himself. Inspired by the sleek, retro design of the 1966 classic Batmobile, this build combines nostalgia, precision, and personality — all powered by pedals.
With its glossy black finish, vibrant orange detailing, and unmistakable batwing fins, this miniature marvel captures the essence of Gotham’s greatest hero in every curve. The students went above and beyond, even customizing the wheels with bold Batman logos and equipping the cockpit with twin canopies for that authentic crime-fighting look.
Beyond its heroic aesthetics, the car showcases the students’ dedication to craftsmanship, teamwork, and technical skills — from bodywork and painting to custom fabrication and design. The mini replica even mirrors its full-size die-cast inspiration.
This Batmobile isn’t just a pedal car — it’s a rolling symbol of creativity, skill, and what happens when young builders bring legendary ideas to life. Whether chasing villains or awards, this car proves one thing: the Bat-Signal shines bright in the next generation of trades people.
