Help us Raise Funds for Scholarships and Bursaries
The Automotive Retailers Association (ARA) is kindly asking you to consider donating an item or service to be included in our Gala Fundraiser Auction taking place in Spirit Ridge Resort in Osoyoos, September 30, 2023.
This annual fundraising event helps generate funds for scholarships and bursaries awarded by Automotive Retailers Foundation Inc. (ARFI) that help entice youth and other demographics to consider a career in the automotive industry.
In return for your donation, we would like to offer your company the following promotional considerations:
- Recognition in the pre-auction mailer
- Recognition in the event program
- Recognition on auction item signage

Automotive Retailers Foundation Inc.
The Automotive Retailers Association (ARA), formed in 1951, continues to represent the automotive industry of British Columbia after 72 years. In 2015, the ARA established the Automotive Retailers Foundation Inc. (ARFI) as a registered charitable foundation with the goal of advancing education and relieving poverty in Canada, particularly within the automotive trades sector.
Every year the ARFI provides bursaries and scholarships to aid students and prospective students in automotive trades training. Thanks to all the generous supporters—both corporate and personal—the Foundation raised $35,900 at the Gala Fundraiser Auction in 2022. Thanks to your donation we can match or exceed this amount in 2023!
AutoCareersBC
Through our AutoCareersBC initiative, the ARA attends trade and job fairs to speak to youth, visible and underrepresented minorities, and new immigrants about opportunities within our dynamic industry. Most recently, AutoCareersBC introduced a Pedal Car Challenge that provides secondary students with an opportunity to get hands-on experience designing and building a pedal car.
